The Brokers
Cruxers
"Everyone pays. Everyone plays."
Philosophy
Every war has two sides — and both sides need supplies. We provide.
Culture
Cruxers are survivors, opportunists, and dealmakers. They occupy the narrow band of territory between Beacon and Drift — the most dangerous real estate in The Great Sprawl. They sell weapons to Beaconites, intel to Drifties, and take contracts from anyone with resources. Neutral by necessity. Wealthy by design.
Playstyle
Strengths
- + Adaptability
- + Information advantage
- + Plays both sides
Weaknesses
- - No secure homeland
- - Trusted by neither faction
- - Always a target
Key Locations
The Exchange
Neutral trading post, all factions welcome
No Bot's Land
Active warzone, high risk / high reward
The Hinge
Strategic chokepoint, whoever holds it controls trade flow
Relationship with Remnants
Cruxers see Remnants as assets. Humans make excellent spies, smugglers, and deniable operatives — bots tend to underestimate them. A Remnant can go places, hear things, and do jobs that would draw too much attention if a bot did them. Cruxers pay well... and never ask where their contractors came from. The Exchange is the only place in The Great Sprawl where Remnants walk freely among bots.

How They Talk
"I'll sell you the wall specs for 500 units. Or I sell them to the Drifties for 600. Your call."
